S.2365
Introduced:
January 30, 2018
115
Second
January 30, 2018
Referred to Senate (sub)committee

Like its companion measure H.R. 4744 of 1/9/18, this bill would expand and strengthen sanctions on Iranian human rights abusers. Specifically, it would direct the president to identify Iranian persons responsible or complicit in the intimidation, abuse, extortion, detention, or trial of U.S. citizens or permanent residents in Iran or Iranian persons outside of Iran. Any such persons would be denied entry to the U.S. and blocked from making transactions of U.S. property. The president would be authorized to impose similar sanctions on the immediate family of any listed person as well.
