First
January 13, 2017
Referred to House (sub)committee

This bill would require the president to report every 180 days on Iran’s use of commercial aircraft and related services for “illicit military or other activities"; the Iranian commercial aviation sector’s support for the Syrian government, Hezbollah, Hamas, or any other foreign terrorist organizations; and foreign governments or persons that have facilitated such activities. The president would no longer have to file this report if he certifies that Iran has “ceased providing support for acts of international terrorism.”
