Would allow citizens of Israel to be granted visas to conduct business in the U.S. if Israel grants similar status to U.S. citizens. This status would only be given if Israel grants similar status to U.S. citizens. On 2/9/12 an identical bill was introduced in the House. In a statement praising the House bill, Israeli ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren indicated that both bills were written in consultation with the Embassy of Israel’s Office of Congressional Affairs and its Economic Mission.
