To direct the Secretary of Education to provide grants to promote Holocaust education and awareness in order to: provide the necessary tools and resources to educate Americans regarding the Holocaust; dispel falsehoods circulated by Holocaust deniers; and to facilitate Holocaust awareness in communities throughout the United States. Seeks to provide $10,000 grants for existing Holocaust education programs conditioned on availability of matching grants from state or local governmental sources and the program’s cooperation with the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council. Seeks to appropriate $3m for each year between 2002 and 2006.
