Iranian Proxies Terrorist Sanctions Act of 2017

This bill would direct the president to impose sanctions on persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support acts of terrorism, with specific respect to As-Saib Ahl Al-Haq and Harakat Hizballah Al-Nujaba, both of which have close ties with the Iranian government and Hezbollah and which were active in Syria at the time of this bill’s introduction. It would also direct the secretary of state to establish, maintain, and publish a list of armed groups or other proxy forces that receive support from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and over which IRGC exerts influence.
